Suzanne Vale (Oscar and Emmy winner Streep, The Devil Wears Prada, A Prairie Home Companion) is an actress trying to make a comeback after a stint in drug rehab. in order to be hired again in Tinseltown, she has to be supervised by a ‘responsible party’ throughout the duration of her shoot.

Enter Suzanne’s mom (Oscar and Golden Globe winner MacLaine, Rumour Has it, in Her Shoes) to the rescue. Normally, it would be easy. But this is after all, Hollywood, so you can expect a couple of detours on the road to self-discovery.
