A complex story with complex situations and characters, KANK attempts at taking a precise look at contemporary relationships. The movie centers on the budding romance between Dev (Shahrukh Khan) and Maya (Rani Mukerji) – both married to different people.

Convinced that they are happily settled in their respective relationships, they still yearn for something deeper and more meaningful - precisely what they find in each other. Starting off in pleasant barbs, they begin to develop and accept the feelings they have beneath the surface.

But when these feelings come to the fore, what results is a collision of lives and emotions, affecting everyone involved and changing them forever.
