ACP Arjun Singh (Om Puri) is his partner and quite to opposite in bravery, as he has seen his friend (Dara Singh), suffer the fate of death in the quest for justice, and fears for his family. He opposes ACP Karan´s approach, often bringing them in conflict.

Kajal (Preity Zinta), ACP Singh’s daughter, loves Karan. Father is opposed to their love.
