Story: Shivaji Rao (Anil Kapoor) is a television news reporter who is in keen on providing viewers with the truth.

On the other hand, Balraj Chauhan (Amrish Puri) is a corrupt Chief Minister. One day when Shivaji is interviewing the Chief Minister on the pathetic state of affairs, Balraj Chauhan challenges Shivaji Rao to become the Chief Minister for one day and see what he can do for the state instead.

Shivaji Rao accepts the challenge and what follows is a fight between both of them, a fight between good and evil. The various scenes in the movie are very well handled and executed brilliantly.

With music by A.R. Rahman, the movie features songs like ‘Chalo Chale Mitwa’ ? a fine-tuned number with good picturisation. ‘Shakalaka Baby’ is another good number not to be missed.

The cinematography by K.V. Anand is also neat and effective with some exciting action scenes.
