This heart-rending drama is based on the true story of Dawn Anna Townsend. Dawn Anna (Winger) has managed to take care of her four children on her own and work as a substitute teacher and volleyball coach at Columbine High School.

Things are going well until she finds out she has a brain tumor. Unfazed, she undergoes surgery. Her children and the school rally around her, and she soon recovers.

But one horrific event in the school will soon test her faith and resolve. She realizes that no sooner has her life been saved, than another will be taken.
