With great power, there must also come great responsibility. Action comic book hero Spider-Man takes on his arch nemesis the Green Goblin in his giant leap onto the silver screen.

Peter Parker is a shy young orphan who lives with his beloved Aunt May and Uncle Ben. An avid student with a less-than-middling social life and a knack for attracting bad luck, he spends his spare time dreaming of the day when beautiful girl-next-door, Mary Jane Watson, will return his affections.

However, life gets dramatically better for Peter when he is bitten by a radioactive spider. Miraculously overnight, he develops superhuman powers that transform him - from a body hard-packed with muscles, perfect vision, the ability to scale walls and to shoot a web-like substance from his wrists, Peter also develops an ESP-like “spider sense” that provides him with super fast reflexes.

When a family tragedy pushes Peter to use his powers towards fighting evil on the city streets - under the guise of “Spider-Man” - he finds himself up against megalomaniacal businessman Norman Osborn, the father of Peter’s best buddy. Osborn, a victim of an experiment gone wrong, has been driven insane and acquired a superhuman strength and intelligence from an experimental formula. He becomes the Green Goblin, a maniacal mutant hell-bent on taking over the world.

Hence begins the epic battle between good and evil - a battle that will put Peter’s resolve to protect the innocent to the ultimate test, even as he risks the lives of his loved ones in his journey as Spider-Man.
