After Aamir khan appearance on BBC Asian Network’s Film Cafe got a huge response from his fans and now John Abraham visit on BBC is creating a lot of buzz as the star will appear on Valentines Day.

He has been summoned by the network to join presenter Nikki Bedi for a live interview. After that he will head for a live web chat that will give his fans a chance to interact with the star. We have the hunch the maximum callers will be girls who would want to be his date!

Playback singer and judge in Indian Idol, Sonu Nigam talking about singing talent hunt show Indian Idol on Sony, feel that viewers should vote contestants on their singing talent and not just looks because ultimately the contest is about choosing the best singer among all.

He says that people who are voting for their favorite candidates, sometime get biased on their looks rather than voice. “Sometimes people vote for the contestants on the basis of their looks, hair styles rather than their vocal prowess and deserving candidates have to say good bye from the show. In such a situation, I feel distressed,” said Nigam. (more…)

Model and TV actress Kuljeet Randhawa, popular as Irawati Kohli in ‘Kohinoor’ committed suicide at her apartment, in suburban Juhu.

Her body was found hanging from the ceiling of her Krishna Apartment flat on Wednesday night. A maid discovered the body and alerted the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem. In a suicide note, Kuljeet (30) said she was ending her life as she was unable to cope with life’s pressures, police said.

Kuljeet began her TV career with Hip Hip Hurray and CATS. She was also seen in shows like ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’ and ‘Kyon Hota Hain Pyar’ and was known for her acting skills in the show ‘Special Squad’. (more…)

As the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge 2005 is moving towards its grand final, it is getting more and more interesting.

Last week show saw Hemachandra ousted from the race. Now the actual fight between the two contestants Vinit and Debojit will be telecasted live on 24 Feb 2006. In the meantime Thrusday episode will see some of the Bollywood’s finest Music Directors like Shantanu Moitra, Pritam and Sandesh Shandilya judging the two.

SRK wants to change his soft image (bathing in a tub full of roses for Lux) to action star image on small screen. He will be seen doing some super stunts in an ad of a Talcum Powder, which is being directed by Prahlad Kakkar.

Bollywood actor has been suffering from back ailments but now since he is feeling better he is back in action and performing his stunts himself. Bollywood’s top action man Allan Amin has coordinated the stunt sequences.

Nausheen, famously known as Kkusum and at one time favorite of Balaji group will now make her big screen debut with film ‘Mumbai Marathon’. She is starred opposite Bikram Saluja in the film which is made by writer-director Nisha Chainani (debutant) and is produced under the banner of Matrix Communications.

On television, Nausheen was quite famous for her inspirational role till she left Kkusum to do different kinds of roles (Kalchakra on Star Plus and anchor in Hain Na Bolo Bol) that took her career nowhere.

The film is a love story on the backdrop of the marathon. In it a bunch of characters are preparing for a marathon. Bikram is one of them and on account of an injury lands up in hospital. There he meets Nausheen - a doctor and fall in love with her at first sight.

TV actress Aashka Goradia better known as Kumud of Kkusum had a near-fatal car accident on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway on Friday at 9 pm. She was on the way to hometown Ahmedabad to celebrate her parents wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Thankfully she had a narrow escape, from a head-on collision with a trailer after three of her car tyres burst. This resulted in the vehicle skidding off the road, jumping over the divider on to the other side of the road, then hitting an oncoming trailer and sliding below it.

Aashka has sustained multiple fractures on her left arm and needed several stitches in her mouth. She is in terrible pain and shock. She said, “It has been a night of horror for me. All I can say is that Allah has been great. He saved my life, as well as of the others.”

Model-actor-vj Kelly Dorjee is now trying his hands in TV. He is turning TV anchor for a sports based show ‘Sports Unplugged’ on the Times Now - a 24-hour English news channel.

Although cricket will be a part of the show, they will focus on other sports as well. Sports will be given coverage in a light hearted manner. Kelly hopes that this show will give the importance to the other neglected games also.
