Zee TV is launching is comedy bonanza, Johy Ala Re, on June 05. Which promises the viewers half an hour of insane family entertainment every week Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head of Zee TV said, “Johny Aala Re is laughter incarnate! The viewers are in for a treat with this one. The best part is, he makes you laugh by just being around! We have also lined up some lively celebrities that go with the essence of the show. Johny will meet them in his own amusing manner, ensuring that the audiences are in splits, rolling in the aisles.”

The show is produced by, Akashdeep and Sheeba’s Cinetek Telefilms Private Ltd. the serial has half an hour of rib tickling divided into segments by the comic genius. This is the original ‘King-Com’s’ first ever series on Television. The first segment has a topical stand up by Johny. Then there are skits where Johny takes on the disguise of popular personalities.

This is one show where there are no limits of enjoyment. Johny takes no liability for the laughter lines on your face! The set is also very unique with a street ambience that has different cars parked with lots of people seated in & on them.

Amitabh Bhachchan the bollywoods icon and a megastar have played many varieties of roles in his career. But he did not perform as a lawyer in the screens. Now he is playing the role of a lawyer in his next film, Zamaanat directed by S Raamanathan. Bachachan is also said to play visually impaired in the film

Snigdha Akolkar will soon be seen in Sony’s launching serial Vaidehi, She shot to fame with her character, Shyamlee in Shara One’s Hare Kaanch ki Choodiyan. The show will be on air from 5 June 2006. “I play the parallel lead in the show, my character Janaki forming the basic suspence of the show. The show revolves around the lives of two girls,” says Snigdha, refusing to divulge any details.

The show produced by Aroona Irani, stars Sachin Sharma, Pallavi Kulkarni and Nikkhil Arya in important roles. “Janaki will wear simple sarees…she’s a simple girl, who is very mature and has a kid. She is subtle and very level headed,” says Snigdha, who has been shooting non stop for one and a half months for the two shows simultaneously.

Here the scenes are different than Hare…and I have the scope to do a variety of things that I might not be able to do in the Sahara show. I have had no holiday for a very long time, but the best part is that I have two great roles and production houses that are great to work with. My experience with Aroonaji was an amazing one and I am looking forward to Vaidehi going on air,” says the visibly excited actor Snigdha.

The Leading Hindi news channel Zee News has launched a new series, Duniya Hai Goal, The channel will have special programmes that will extensively cover the Soccer World Cup. The two teams of correspondents will be sending to Germany by Zee News for covering the mega event. The most watched event in the world will be looked at from all the aspects of the game by Zee News team.

Duniya Hai Goal will start its half an hour special programme on the thrills and actions of the 2006 FIFA World Cup on May 30, 2006 at 7:30 pm. This bulletin will continue till the finale on July 09 and will have wide-ranging coverage of the tournament with viewer’s interactivity.

The segment on the day’s play will be shown in 6:00 am to 7:00 am bulletin, 11:00 am to 12 noon bulletin, 12 noon to 1 pm. Bulletin, 5 p.m. to 6 pm bulletin and 10 pm. To 11pm bulletin. During the tournament score bugs will run and a trivia will cover the main information about FIFA. Zee News has selected experts for debates and discussions out of the renowned names in game.

Kaun Banega Crorepati is coming back on Star TV in 2007.The programme went off air because of host Amitabh Bachchan falling ill. Star TV CEO Nair said,�KBC will be back in its third season next year and we are still working out on the details in terms of schedule, timings etc�.

The show and its anchor have become synonymous and there is no question of bringing out season three with any one else. “We still have 24 episodes remaining from season two as per the contract. But we thought since his original schedule has been hampered, we would wait till he completes all his commitments and then talk to him.”

She is the part of the mystery and when the story is revealed, the show will see a thrilling twist. Her character will be seen on air from 29 May. The character will start off as a small part, but it might end up being a full fledged character later on.

In Risshton Ki Dorr she is playing the role of Simran an art director, who will be part of Anjuu Mahendroo and Raza Murad’s family. She says that “I have a very interesting charcater in the show. It has very nice shades and will be on air from the tenth episode”. With three dailies already in her kitty, the lady is all set to take take on anither daily! “I want to work for 25-30 days a month! I can’t sit at home!” says Aditi.

Sahara One Television has launched one more innovative primetime show with a brawny female leading role. Sati… Satya Ki Shakti will be aired in the 8 pm slot from Mondays to Fridays from 29 May and will replace Buniyaad.

The story has been penned by Rang De Basanti writer Kamlesh Pandey and his team of writers. Sati… is about a victim of rape, who fights for her rights, challenges the decisions of the law and attains justice. The show revolves around an all women law firm who are shown to be fighting their personal and skilled battles at home and in the court.

After launching the serial Dharti Ka Veer Yodha - Prithviraj Chauhan, Star Plus is now releasing the music album of it. The releasing date for the album is 2 june. Times Music and Sagar Arts are the presentators for the album.
