Anand (Ajay Devgun) and Kavita (Mahima Choudhary) are husband and wife, with an adopted daughter Neha (Akshita Garud). Their whole life revolves around this child. One day Neha goes missing and this drives Kavita to her nerves end. However Neha returns safely.

Kavita soon discovers that a mysterious woman has been visiting Neha and finds out that the woman, Nandita Rai (Kajol), is actually the biological mother of the child. When Nandita meets Anand, realization dawns upon her. Now the story begins to roll.
