Owing to a lack of funds, she recruits students from Delhi University to act in her docu-drama. She finds DJ (Aamir Khan), who passed out five years back but still wants to be a part of the University because he doesn’t think there’s too much out there in the real world to look forward to.
Karan (Siddharth), the son of Industrialist Rajnath Singhania, who shares an uncomfortable relationship with his father, but continues to live off him, albeit very grudgingly. Aslam (Kunal Kapoor), is a middle class Muslim boy, who lives in the bylanes near Jama Masjid, poet, philosopher and guide to his friends. (more…)

Sahara One Television has launched one more innovative primetime show with a brawny female leading role. Sati… Satya Ki Shakti will be aired in the 8 pm slot from Mondays to Fridays from 29 May and will replace Buniyaad.
The story has been penned by Rang De Basanti writer Kamlesh Pandey and his team of writers. Sati… is about a victim of rape, who fights for her rights, challenges the decisions of the law and attains justice. The show revolves around an all women law firm who are shown to be fighting their personal and skilled battles at home and in the court.
Purnendu Bose COO of Sahara One Television said,” “Sati… Satya Ki Shakti is the story of today’s varying times, where women are speaking up not only for themselves but for others as well. This show is yet another color and quill in the cap of Sahara One Television pursuit basket - Television Ka Naya Rang.
This is a story about one woman’s fight against the carnage unswerving against other women. Above all, it sends out a message of hope that justice will prevail if women stand together in times of hardship.” Watch Sati… Satya Ki Shakti at 8 pm from Monday to Friday from 29 May on Sahara One Television.
MTV India now can be described as “Spoofy” now. IT is now eyeing the big screen. There plan is to time round is to spoof big banner movies and there first movie is titled Ghoom. It ht spoof of Yash Raj Fimls Dhoom which starred Abhishekh Bachchan, John Abraham, Uday Chopra, Esha Deol and Rimi Sen.
Ashush Patel president and general manger of MTV Networks India says, “That this is one of MTV’s biggest initiatives for 2006. It’s the next level of comedy with a full-on, Fully Faltoo, full duration feature film. It is dependable to make your head go ghoom.
MTV is planning to have a premiere of Ghoom at the Inox theatre in Mumbai on 31 May.
There plans are also underway to launch the DVD of Ghoom for which the channel is in talks with a couple of players.
Coca Cola, on the other hand, is spinning a contest around the movie wherein winners will get a chance to meet Aishwarya Rai. With its latest ‘Thande Ka Tadka’ summer campaign already underway, the soft drink major had recently also tied up with Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti. Besides Coca Cola and Inox, MTV has also roped in Nokia and Parle Hide and Seek as associate sponsors and 93.5 Red FM as radio partner.
