Star Plus got a rating of 5.35 from aMap, a television rating agency.
The rating system that was set up in 2004 tracked the viewership (age group 4 plus) of KBC3 in the Hindi speaking states such as Rajasthan, UP, MP, Maharashtra and Gujarat among others.
The aMap analysis shows that KBC3 opened with a viewership share of 24 per cent, which was much higher than the 12 per cent share of the two serials (Virasat and Karam Apna Apna) on Star Plus that it replaced. (more…)
The first episode of KBC yesterday on Star plus was disappointing to say the least, and for so many reasons.
Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) simply wasted a wonderful opportunity to make his mark on the small screen, by trying to out do Amitabh Bachchan instead of just being himself.
King Khan and Bollywood Ka Badshah Amitabh Bachchan are just media creations that SRK will do well to ignore in the days ahead. (more…)

The film is set in larger than life mansions erected by Nitin Desai and brought to celluloid life with the use of incredible colours and fabrics, which are brought out to the fullest in the dance sequences. Lavish, lush and passionate ? Devdas is all this and more with a pace that is almost operatic.
Devdas shared a magical childhood with his lovely playmate Paro (Aishwarya Rai) and at that early age love began to bloom and continued to grow. When youth beckoned, they wished to belong to each other forever but Devdas?s stately family refused to accept the modest Paro into their home. (more…)
