Deva (Sunny Deol) belongs to a middle class family comprising of his father Ashok Pradhan (Anupam Kher) who is a principled and honest advocate! Deva respects the honesty and ideals of his father but also believes in practicality of today’s time. Due to his differences between father and son, Deva has to leave the house for good.
With the passage of time Deva becomes the most wanted Don of the city. The police and his rivals both want him. Deva meets Jaya (Raveena Tandon), a club dancer in a strange incident and falls in love with her and marries her.
Deva falls into the trap laid down by Jindal (his rival)and others to kill the Chief Minister and and implicate Deva for it, but the Chief Minister does not die and Deva manages to escape with the Chief Minister. All hell breaks loose for Deva. Meanwhile as if destiny hadn’t completed in giving the worst to Deva, his sister is ruthlessly murdered without a clue.
