Story: Aditya (Bobby Deol) was once an army officer who fell in love with Payal (Lara Dutta), daughter of a senior officer.

John Abraham plays the role of Dr Akash, a happy married man with his wife, Maya (played by Tara Sharma) who is a physician and also pregnant.

All seems fine in life for Akash until one day when Maya dies in a tragic bus accident while working as a volunteer in a relief camp in Nagaland. Unable to bear her loss, Akash starts devoting all his time to the hospital.

Strange enough, he starts receiving messages about Maya trying to contact him from another world. Even the ill kids in the hospital ward start speaking of seeing her in a tunnel during near-death experiences.
